The SMT Manual Splice Tool is designed for use in surface mount technology (SMT) production lines to join carrier tapes that hold surface-mount components, enabling continuous feeding into pick-and-place machines without interruption.
The semi-automatic mechanism speeds up splicing by feeding bandolier brass shims sequentially, eliminating the need to load individual shims. Its stapler-style mechanism and durable steel construction deliver consistent, strong joints across tapes of any width, while the ergonomic grip ensures comfortable extended use. Designed to hold a single sheet of 20 shims at a time, it is ideal for SMT materials and high-throughput environments.
By removing manual shim handling, splicing can be up to 10 times faster, saving time and reducing costs.
