Central grounding point for secure ESD protection
An earth bonding point (EBP) provides a central connection to the electrical mains earth or a dedicated ESD earth within an EPA (Electrostatic Protected Area). It ensures that bench matting, floor matting and wrist straps can be bonded together to the same electrical potential, reducing the risk of electrostatic discharge.
This bonding point is designed for secure attachment to a workbench and comes complete with a single M5 post for grounding connections. It is wired to earth via a 2m long cable with an eyelet termination and does not include a resistor.
Manufactured from robust, impact-resistant yellow ABS, the unit is easy to identify and clearly marked with an ESD warning symbol for compliance. Measuring 40mm x 45mm x 12mm, it offers a compact and practical grounding solution.
The earth bonding point supports EN 61340-5 standards and can be used as part of an ANSI/ESD S20.20 program, making it suitable for all static-sensitive environments where safe and reliable grounding is required.
